Which HSK version does it follow?
The new HSK (3.0) Level 1 syllabus published in November 2025: 300 words, 246 characters to recognise, 70 grammar items and 15 everyday tasks. The 300 words use 248 distinct characters, and the writing workbook covers all of them. The new exam is used worldwide from the 13 December 2026 sitting.
Which language are the books in?
English and Spanish; both editions are in the download. The Chinese and the exercises are the same in both; the explanations are written for each edition’s readers.
Print or screen?
Both work. The books are A4 PDFs and read well on screen; the writing workbook is best printed. The flashcards come as two files, A4 and US Letter (two-sided, flip on the long edge). Print as many copies as you need for your own study.
Is there audio?
Not at the moment. The listening exercises in the books and the listening parts of the mock exams were written for audio; their scripts are printed in the answer key and in the mock exam pack. You can hear the words on the audio cards of the free HSK 1 deck on this site. If recordings are added to the bundle, everyone who bought it can download them at no extra cost.
Can I look inside first?
Yes. The free sample has all of Unit 1, writing practice and the answer key; create an account to download it. The bundle is digital content, so the right of withdrawal ends once the download begins — which is exactly why the sample exists.

This bundle is not an official HSK publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), Chinese Testing International (CTI) or any other examination authority. HSK is named only to describe the exam the materials prepare you for.
Working through these materials does not guarantee any exam result; results depend on the learner. Official scoring for the new Level 1 had not been published when the materials were prepared, so the mock exams use raw-score bands and say so.
